Who these terms are between

This portal is operated by New Horizons Nigeria ("we", "us") for the delivery and administration of ICT training. By registering, signing in, sitting an assessment or verifying a certificate you accept these terms.

Where a learner is enrolled through a university, school or employer, that organisation may also have its own agreement with us. Where the two differ, the organisational agreement governs the commercial terms and these terms govern your use of the portal.

Accounts and access

Accounts are issued to a named individual. You are responsible for everything done under your sign-in, so keep your password private and change it as soon as you are asked to.

A new account is issued a one-time password and must set its own at first sign-in. If you believe someone else has used your account, tell the training office immediately.

Access to course materials is enabled only for the enrolment covered by a verified course-registration payment or approved sponsoring-organisation payment. Exam, resit and hard-copy payments do not unlock unrelated learning access.

Fees, payment evidence and refunds

Payment is made by bank transfer or deposit into a New Horizons Nigeria account shown on the registration page. You then upload evidence of that payment through the portal.

Evidence is reviewed by an audit officer, who may approve it, reject it with a reason, or ask you to resubmit clearer evidence. Approval applies only the side effect associated with that payment purpose and target.

Submitting falsified payment evidence is fraud. It will result in immediate suspension, cancellation of any certificate issued, and may be reported to the authorities.

Refund eligibility depends on the programme and how much of it has been delivered. Refund requests must be made in writing to the training office; where a sponsoring organisation paid, any refund is made to that organisation.

A printed hard-copy certificate carries a separate fee of ₦15,000.00, payable in the same way.

Attendance, assessment and certification

A certificate is issued only when every requirement is met. Those requirements are:

• a verified payment for that course,
• the attendance threshold configured for your cohort delivery profile,
• a passed examination for the course, and
• a submitted course evaluation.

Examinations are timed. The clock starts when you open the paper. A paper submitted after the time limit is recorded, but no result is released for it until the training office has reviewed the circumstances.

You may sit an examination only the number of times stated on the paper. Attempting to bypass the timer, the attempt limit, or to submit work that is not your own is academic misconduct and may void your result and any certificate.

Certificates and verification

Each certificate carries a unique number, a verification link and a QR code. Anyone holding those details may confirm the certificate at https://portal.newhorizonsnigeria.net.ng/verify-certificate.

Verification discloses only the holder's name, the programme, the centre or institution, and the issue and completion dates. It does not disclose marks, payment information or internal notes.

We may revoke a certificate where it was issued in error, where the underlying result is found to be invalid, or where misconduct is established. A revoked certificate stops verifying as valid and can no longer be downloaded.

Using course materials

Materials in the portal are licensed to you for your own study on the programme you are enrolled on. Vendor curricula remain the property of the respective vendors.

You may not redistribute, resell, publish or share materials with people who are not enrolled, and you may not remove any notice of ownership from them.

Acceptable use of the portal

Do not attempt to access records belonging to other learners, probe or bypass the portal's security, upload malicious files, or use the portal to harass anyone.

Activity in the portal is logged, including sign-ins, payment decisions, certificate changes and downloads of private files.

Availability and liability

We aim to keep the portal available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may suspend it for maintenance.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our liability in connection with the portal is limited to the fees you paid for the programme concerned.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date above shows when they last changed, and material changes will be notified in the portal.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Nigerian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
